What happened between the year 711 to 1192 - five hundred years of resistance to Muslim invasions by Kings of India

 Battle of Aror was fought in 711 AD and Second Battle of Tarain was fought after 500 years in the year 1192 AD. The battle of 711AD was fought in Sindh at a place called Aror which was the capital of Sindh. To reach Aror the Islamic Armies had to cross the Indus. So this battle involved gaining control of the gateway to the plains of Indian Sub Continent. The battle of Tarain was fought closer to Delhi which led to the Muslim control of the heart of Indian Sub Continent.  Both battles were won only by deceit and treachery as in both instances, Muhammad Bin al-Qasim in 711 AD and Muhammad Ghuri in 1192 AD realized that they cannot win in a straight battle. Both these invaders had been defeated earlier.  This complete period of 500 years is omitted in the history textbooks in Indian School. Reason is unknown.  What makes India beautiful? There is food and there are the festivals . India is a filtering mesh for an ancient civilization. What passes through it will emerge as a great idea and a great way to live. Festivals are for conversations. Family outings are for conversations too. Recently we have the mobile phone taking over a large part of our daily routine. So anything which facilitates a chat will always be a welcome change.  Cafe culture is also a recently things. बुंदेले हरबोलों के मुँह हमने सुनी कहानी थी खूब लड़ी मर्दानी वो तो झाँसी वाली रानी थी Perhaps one of the most popular poem in the history of India, it is known to every student and we still remember it as adults. As a homage to the writer, there is a wall art at Prayagraj. Subhadra Chauhan was born in Prayagraj on 16 Aug 1904 and later moved to Jabalpur after marriage. In 1921 with her husband she joined the Non Co-operation Movement. She was twice arrested in 1923 and 1942. After Independence she was a member of legislative assembly but next year she died of a car accident.
